App and updates

Use the app and update method approved for your exact device and phone. The NFC workflow documented below applies only to models that support NFC updates. Other IMPixED™ displays may use different update methods; do not apply these steps to an unconfirmed model.

The firmware contract describes this behavior; it does not confirm a public app release, app-store listing, account requirement, or universal phone compatibility. Obtain the applicable app and compatibility information with your product or through support.

What the app needs to handle on NFC-capable models​

  • Read Metadata instead of guessing from a product name.
  • Prepare a complete image, including text.
  • Wait for display readiness before sending image data.
  • Confirm the whole image is loaded before requesting refresh.
  • Keep commands quiet during refresh and wait for the completion event.
  • Restart the complete upload when the device requires it.

For NFC-capable models, these are responsibilities of a compatible app. You should not need to enter raw NFC commands or firmware settings.
